I KIT You Knot: where the name came from

People have been coming to me for advice for as long as I can remember. Not the polished, professional kind — the kitchen-table kind. The 11pm phone call kind. The "can I ask you something and you promise not to judge me" kind.

And almost every time, somewhere in the middle of the story, they'd stop and say: "Really?" So I'd say the only thing there was to say. "I KIT you not."

My name is KIT. The joke writes itself, and it has, a few thousand times. At some point it stopped being a joke and started being a shorthand for how I talk to the people I love: honestly, warmly, and without dressing it up.

When I started thinking seriously about making a podcast, I kept coming back to what those conversations actually are. They're knots. A friendship that's quietly gone lopsided. A parent you love and can't talk to. A marriage where you both stopped saying the real thing years ago. Nobody tied these on purpose. They just tightened over time.

So "not" became "knot." I KIT You Knot — a show about untangling life's knots, one honest conversation at a time.

Here's what you can expect. Relationships: the ones that are working, the ones that aren't, and the ones you can't tell yet. Family: inherited patterns, boundaries, the holidays. Friendship: outgrowing people, being outgrown, and how to say something before it's too late.

No scripts. No expert voice pretending to have it figured out. Just the conversation you'd get if you called me at 11pm — plus guests who've untied knots I haven't.
